This is a casual position for a Registered Nurse in a long term care home. You need to have a car with a valid driving license. Please apply if you live in Brampton, Stratford and Kitchener area.
RN Responsibilities: Ensuring that the nursing care routines are followed on the assigned unit(s); - Providing direction to all personal care staff on the assigned unit(s); - Promoting and supporting the goals and objectives of the nursing department, the residences, - Ensuring that the needs and safety of the residents, families, and staff are met; - Actively participating in family conferences; - Monitoring and evaluating the quality of nursing care; - Performing thorough physical assessments on ill residents; - Maintaining and updating adequate resident documentation, reports, and other pertinent records - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to policies - Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions - Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment - May supervise Registered Practical Nurses and other nursing staff - May develop and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients - May teach and counsel patients and their families on health-related
Employment requirements
Minimum of 3 to 6 months Canadian experiences in a long term care home or New Grad with some clinical hours in a long term care home in Canada Familiar with Point Click Care(an asset) Holding a valid CNO certificate and CPR and clear Police check Holding a valid Ontario driving license and a car
