Systems Administrator - 6 Month Contract
MEDe-care Healthcare Solutions Inc - Toronto, ON

The Systems Administrator reports to the Director, Technical Services, and is responsible for managing, building, and administration of core IT infrastructure.

Experience Requirements

Must have:
2+ years Active Directory administration and build
2+ years Microsoft Exchange Server administration

Experience in the following areas is a strong asset:
Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) administration
Managing networks including switches, routers and firewalls
Storage administration
Backup administration

General Skills Requirements
Excellent communicator with both Technical and Non-Technical staff
Ability to work effectively as a team member
Excellent Analytical Skills
Technical documentation skills

Job Duties

Shared responsibility in the following areas depending on candidate qualifications:

Systems Administrator:
Manage Windows server services including Active Directory, file and printer sharing, WINS, DNS and DHCP
Deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting performance and security issues
Provide second level support to users (some first level support will also be required)
User desktops and printers administration
Security policies and procedures

Exchange Administrator:
Add, remove and changes to user mailboxes
Monitor Exchange server
Capacity planning
Exchange backup and recovery

Virtual Infrastructure (VI) administration:
Plan, deploy and manage Hyper-V servers
VI capacity monitoring and planning

Backup Admin:
Day to day administration of backup solution

Storage Management:
Add, remove or expand storage resources (RAID Groups and LUNs)
Monitor performance of the storage array and take corrective action if necessary
