Jr. IT Administrator- (Oshawa/Peterborough/Minden)
We're a Managed IT services provider here in the GTA with clients across Ontario. We have an in-house team of Helpdesk Technicians who provide the majority of Technical support to our clients via phone and Remote technologies. Occasionally however, we require an onsite presence at our clients' sites, for support, maintenance and for some small projects.
We're looking for one or two experienced individuals to provide Onsite assistance to our Support Team.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Part-time Contract, ( 10-15 hrs/week or on as needed basis). This specific role will primarily work with a few of our healthcare clients in the Kawartha Lakes/Peterborough/Minden area. Though there is some flexibility within the schedule, you Must be available during business hours, i.e. M-F/ 8am-5pm.
As you can understand, We don't want to waste your time or ours, so if part time/occasional work is NOT what you're looking for, don't reply.
Below are specific set of skills we require.
Required Experience in :
Desktop and Laptop Support and maintenance
Microsoft Server 2003/2008- familiarity with 2012 would be an asset
Data Backup and Recovery ( Backup Exec, Acronis Trueimage etc)
Server Install and Maintenance ( SBS 2003/2008 )
Active Directory Management, Migartion and Maintenance.
Certifications or verfiable Equivalent work experience to MCSE/MCSA
VPN Configuration and Support
Apple/Linux OS knowledge a great asset.
Experience working in a Medical/Healthcare Setting.
Windows 2008 Server
Win 7 / Windows 8
Mac OS X
Experience with Cisco routers/switches and/or firewalls
VMware or similar Virtualization software
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Jr. IT Admin is to provide a single point of contact for client end-users to receive support. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide Client end-user assistance where required.
Typical Day to Day Responsibilities:
-Coordinate with Our team members, Helpdesk Staff and Sr. IT Managers, to perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems for client end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions
-Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels
-Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to client PC's
-Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding technical problems at client site(s)
-Answer to and perform moves, additions, and changes requests as they are requested by Client primary IT contact.
