Our client is a well established LTC Home in the Golden Triangle and is seeking to build its internal support team with the addition of a self-motivated, experienced:
Payroll/Benefits Coordinator
This Full Time position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package along with a 37.5 hour work week.
Under general supervision, primarily responsible for the handling of day-to-day aspects of Payroll and Benefits, including, payroll administration, health and welfare benefit administration, WSIB/return to work coordination, addressing the information needs of employees and management regarding payroll / benefit policies, procedures and documentation. Qualified candidates will possess:
Post secondary education in Payroll, CPA designation (or in progress) preferred
Minimum of 3-5 year’s job related or industry work experience. Experience in Human Resources an asset.
Proven experience working with ADP and automated time and attendance software
Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Access
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Payroll / Benefits / HR
Knowledge of Payroll / Human Resources legislation.
Knowledge of financial or accounting concepts.
Ability to research and investigate payroll / benefits questions from employees and management, dealing with multiple Collective Agreements.
Possess the ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality.
Disciplined self starter with a strong customer service orientation / skills, professional image and positive attitude.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Able to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds

Successful candidate must be available to commence position no later than December 16, 2013.
