Primary Responsibilities:

- Entering invoices using QuickBooks
- Scanning invoices
- Processing invoices - posting and insuring ledger and invoice balances
- Dealing with creditor enquiries
- Keeping track of all invoices that come into the office, organizing for coding and approvals
- Reviews invoices and cheque requests for date stamping, proper adding, and approvals
- Filing of all invoices by vendor and fund
- Distribute cheques
- Responsible for bank deposits
- Reconciling vendor statements
- Preparing journal entries as required
- Prepare cash reconciliations

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Assistance with the preparation of reporting requirements
- Other administrative tasks as necessary

Skills, interests and qualities:

As an accounts clerk you would need to enjoy working as part of a team and have:

- Confidence working with numbers
- Knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
- Familiarity with accounting practices and principles
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- An interest in business and finance
- An organized and methodical approach
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Honesty and discretion
- An ability to solve problems
