Marineland is currently seeking a Full-Time Permanent, Year Round addition to the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will possess work experience in some of the following areas: Restaurants, HVAC, Compressors, Pumps, Electrical, Plumbing. This position is responsible for the day-to-day regular and preventative maintenance work in the park.

Experience and training in a related field is required. The ability to grasp electrical and mechanical concepts as they apply to water transfer and treatment would be an asset. A mature approach to work and willingness to learn new skills is required. A full, clean driver's license is required. Must have reliable transportation, must be able to support a 7-day a week operation and shift work. Employee must have own steel toed, CSA approved safety boots/shoes. This position's pay rate is dependant upon qualifications and experience; benefits package after successful completion of probationary period.

Preventative and corrective maintenance within the organization including, but not limited to; trouble shooting and repair of buildings and equipment.
Able to followmanufacturers' specifications, and use hand tools and test instruments
Test faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation of systems to diagnose cause of malfunction and provide corrective action
Read and write simple correspondence such as daily inspection sheets, maintenance logs and other forms as required.
Must possess basic mathematical skills including but not limited to: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Essential functions of the job include walking, climbing, bending, twisting, stooping and crawling. Reaching high & low, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., hearing, listening, speaking, depth perception, colours vision, ability to tolerate a year round outdoor environment with temperatures varying from 0 to 100+ degrees.
Able to function independently with little supervision
Applicant must possess a High School diploma, or equivalent
Relative certification and work experience required
Must support a 7-day week operation, provide on-call services, work overtime, and be available during peak seasonal operation times.
