Fluid Controls Inc. is a globally class manufacturer of hydraulic systems and components located in Mississauga, Ontario. We are currently looking for a highly energetic and organized Outside Sales Representative to support our Sales Department. Successful candidate will be working closely with inside sales, marketing , and/or engineering and will be responsible for selling and promoting Lynch Fluid Controls fluid power components.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling and promoting Lynch Fluid Controls products and services in the assigned territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell and promote our products in assigned territory
  • Increase sales of Sun Hydraulics, Kawasaki, Atos, and Hydac existing accounts
  • Develop new products
  • Plan daily calls to incorporate customers and new prospects
  • Keep ACT up to date with all available information
  • Prepare and Present Quotations, following up on a planned basis
  • Keep in touch with customers through E-mail and phone calls when not in area
  • Maintain rapport and effective communications with customers, vendors and company personnel
  • Attend vendor and company training events, meetings, trade shows, etc.
  • Respect and adhere to all aspects of company Health and Safety by-laws
  • Respect confidentiality and intellectual property as per company by-laws

ACADEMIC/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Background in Fluid Power- CFPT is preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience with fluid power or related products
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of hydraulic circuits and schematics
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship building/interpersonal skills
  • Planning and organization skills, including effective time management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality procedures, engineering and technical drawings and services
  • Ability to provide sound decisions based upon logical assumptions, facts, and input from others
  • Ability to maintain moral/ethical organizational and social skills of one's own behavior
  • Sales ability/negotiations (uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communication to gain agreement, acceptance or commitment from various parties inside and outside the organization)
  • Computer savvy- working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with using Blackberry and Playbook
  • Possession of valid Ontario’s driver’s license
  • Experience with SAP BAiO and/or SAP Version 4.6C or later is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to wear appropriate foot and eye protection for any extended periods of time when needed
