Pros: 3 day weekend
Cons: pay, management, advancement opportunities
Typical day starts out with a meeting about the previous day and the goal for the present day
I learned about optical eyewear and lenses
management is horrible and very biased.
If you are not in the "in-crowd" and hanging all in the supervisors office trying to be liked and kissing *** then you will be treated as such.
co-workers are majority old, nosey – more... and miserable
the hardest part has to be the 10 and 20 cents raises, which you have to wait a whole year to get. Not to mention they have you doing multiple jobs because they are to cheap to hire and keep a full staff.
ITs a lot of repetitive work. Extremely boring and like watching paint dry.
the most enjoyable part of the job was when we use to have fun activities to look forward to, but they cut all those things out. and I do mean ALL!!
the opportunity for advancement is very slim and pay is horrible...
first shift starting pay is 8.95 in 2013 with .70 cents shift differentials – less
