Luxottica Retail - Associate Relations/Compliance

Act as a consultative Human Resources partner to the field, facility and corporate leadership teams in all areas of people and business interaction in assigned area/DMA/facility. Provide consultative services, and education & business relationship solutions that empower and enable the business and individual through accountability and performance. Ensure relationship solutions and strategies meet the business needs and expectations of the broader organization.

Summary of major duties, responsibilities and job function

Consult with Department and/or Field Management to assist with proactive HR Strategy and tactics (i.e., succession planning, recruiting, turnover, competency based systems) related to business needs through understanding of organization’s vision, mission and values.
Consult business partners on the resolution of difficult people and business issues through active listening, engaging questions and offering options and solutions.
Collaborate with business partners on changes to corporate policy and business practices.
Establish and maintain strong consultative partnerships with group and field managers. Partner and consult with department and/or regional leadership teams on the effective business relationship solutions.
Support the development of field managers in coaching and driving performance expectations.
Serve as a consultative resource for the organization on cutting edge HR activities. Have an in-depth understanding of Human Resources and individual Business objectives.
Be a strategic consultative resource to the corporate, facility and/or field management teams.
Investigate, or coach business partners to investigate, all department, facility and/or store associate situations including those involving violations of policy and state or federal law. Identify risk and potential Company liability and use sound judgment in obtaining legal counsel when warranted.
Protect company assets by providing consultation, support and direction on risk assessment and by representing the Company at hearings, employment arbitrations and other similar proceedings.
Travel to Corporate, Facility, Group, Regional and Store meetings as needed for training, investigations, and relationship building (25-30% travel required).
Other duties, responsibilities and functions as assigned.

Minimum requirements

§ Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent HR experience

§ Recognized professional certification

§ 3+ years of related Human Resources experience or proven record of business management experience

§ Preferred bilingual candidates in French or Spanish

Skills, knowledge and abilities required

§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

§ Strong organizational skills

§ Excellent presentation, facilitating and training skills

§ Knowledge of Employment and Labor Law (Country and/or Federal and multi-state)

§ Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment

§ Computer skills

§ Strong influencing and consulting skills
