The Catering & Special Events Manager is responsible for the overall operation of our Catering Facility. Planning, implementing and ensuring all preparation to secure a successful event for our clientele. This involves not only running the facility day to day but also during the event. The Catering & Special Events manager will work closely with the client, staff and vendors.
The Catering & Special Events Manager will be responsible for the planning of both in house and out of house special events. This may include assisting the client in sourcing outside vendors such as accommodation requests, wedding planners, limousine companies, photographers and videographers. This position is sales oriented, as the Catering & Special Events Manager is responsible for business development and marketing.
The successful candidate will be the accountable for menu planning, liaising with the Chef and the client to source the appropriate menu for the event. He or she will be responsible for scheduling and training of employees to suit the needs of scheduled events. The Catering & Special Events Manager will be responsible for placing orders with the Chef for appropriate order quantities to serve the event. The Catering & Special Events Manager will be required to supervise all booked events.
