Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, daytime hours
Lunch Bell Bistro is a state of the art teaching kitchen and working restaurant. Our goal is to provide experience and knowledge to individuals with additional support needs so that they can obtain sustainable employment upon completion of our program.
We are currently hiring a qualified individual to provide support, guidance and instruction to students throughout their culinary and restaurant based curriculum under the direction of the Executive Chef.
-Assist the Executive Chef in preparing activities and executing lesson programming for participants.
-Fulfill general kitchen duties to ensure that all culinary requirements are met.
-Provide guidance and instruction to participants as they progress through our program and gain restaurant experience.
-Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations
-Support and evaluate individuals throughout the day with respect to the participant’s service plan.
-Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
-Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a full service kitchen.
-Must be an effective leader and communicator.
-Strong customer service skills.
-Valid First Aid.
-Recent Criminal background check (in last 3 months).
-Recent Adult Abuse Registration check (in last 3 months).
-Food handler certificate is an asset.
