Nice place to work
Head cashier/Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Abbotsford, BC19 September 2017
It was a fun place to work. Everyone was great to work with. The hours were a hard a little hard on the commute with the traffic and weather. I learned a lot of new things and they have a good training process.

Worst HR dept ever
Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Hamilton, ON17 September 2017
The HR department is the worst I've ever seen, its like they haven't got a clue on how to do their job. If you want to be treated like a dog, this is the place for you.

fellow associates were good to work with and had good training
Vault associate (Former Employee) –  Thunder Bay, ON13 September 2017
Associates and management at Lowe's were very helpful during and after orientation. My training was well planned and easy to maintain in a well organized format. My hours of work did not however fulfill my needs.

Good place to work if you don't have a life
Head Cashier (Former Employee) –  Brampton, ON12 September 2017
Decent place to work if you're in school and need the money. Long hours and no fixed schedule makes it hard to have a life outside of work. People and customers are nice to work with.
Pros
Salary is good
Cons
No fixed schedule

Great Environment
Part-time Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Greater Sudbury, ON11 September 2017
The typical day at Lowe's is one that will never stop moving, if you want to be busy.
Working in any department, especially seasonal, there is a lot of movement throughout the building. You will definitely get your exercise for the day, but you will hardly know you're doing so. The staff are friendly and inviting. The customers continue to come in with questions big and small, and at all times you can be learning with customers if you don't know about a product. This is easily a physically demanding job with just running around, but also one that will have time flying bye for you.
Pros
Great staff & Management
Cons
Little down time

Load puller (Former Employee) –  Kingston, ON7 September 2017
It was a horrible experieance, I dont recommed anyone to work for Lowe's until they take care of all the lazy people in this company. Could have been a great place to work if everyone worked as a team and helped one another.
Pros
was a fulltime Job

Area Product Service Manager (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON29 August 2017
My time at Lowe's was up and down. It was very dependent on the location. As far as retail goes the compensation was fair but like all retail jobs the hours are not conducive to any type of work life balance or general health.

Good people to work with ( co-workers ). Communication from all levels of management is very poor. Very high turnover in my department. No shift premium for overnight shift.

Good place to work for the most part, there are room for improvements but overall a good place. The management is sometimes stifled by red tape but they try their best.
