My years of experience has given me many transferable skills applicable to a variety of positions. My experience is in a hospital setting, however, patients are clients and the expectations are the same.  Only the reason is different.  I may be eligible for Wage Subsidy, which would help offset the training period.

Having acquired leadership, organizational and management skills through years of experience, I understand the importance of maintaining group co-operation and effective interaction with my peers and superiors. I am committed to team effort and to providing professional, quality work.

I successfully held a position in a fast paced, complex environment at the University of Alberta and Stollery Hospitals and the Misericordia Hospital in Diagnostic Imaging n the area of medical office and administrative assistant. My duties included, but were not limited to: scheduling appointments, checking patients in, interviewing patients, large volumes of data entry, editing and correcting discrepancies of patient histories and procedure coding, first point of contact with patients, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling and maintaining appointment schedules and emergency studies for nine diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures areas, archival and retrieval of previous studies.

In that capacity, I used Microsoft and other hospital and provincial computer software programs, as Vax, Tandem, RisPacs, Netcare, Wellnet, etc, email and various office equipment. I use Mac for personal use.

You will find me to be well-rounded in experience and education. I am dedicated to providing the best service and care to clients and patients. In my evaluations and references I noted words and phrases as: methodical, analytical, discreet, dedicated, trustworthy, possesses a good work ethic, motivated, tenacious at learning new tasks, multitasking, and committed to cause, professionalism and the quality of patient care.
