POSITION: Warehouse Person
REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor
LOCATED AT: Red Deer, AB
Report to supervisors and lead hands to ensure quality customer satisfaction and customer visibility of tracking packages. Comply with all company procedures and directives when loading, unloading, handling, and sorting customer packages and freight in a timely and safe manner.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load and unload a variety of containers and vehicles in a timely manner to ensure correct destination and load quality for 100% customer satisfaction.
Induction of each package in and out of the facility for customer visibility to track the package.
Manually sort packages and freight to correct destinations according to regulations, company directives and priority, ensuring departure times and all deadlines are met.
Measure all non conveyable freight to ensure correct billing to customers and to ensure proper profits to the company.
Comply with the Collective Agreement and all health and safety directives to ensure respect and fairness to all employees and co-workers.
Behave in a professional manner at all times and when interacting with other members of the team.
Keep a clean work area to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and visitors into the warehouse.
Participate in cubing compliance procedures.

Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction.
Handle shipments in a manner that minimizes damage.
100% accuracy in sort to minimize missorts.
Paperwork is 100% complete, accurate and on time.
Shipment processing complies 100% with Transport of Dangerous Goods requirements.
Follow policy and procedures as outlined by operations supervisor and lead hand.
Maintain a secure and safe working environment for all staff.
Comply with Collective Agreement.
Alert operations management of service issues immediately they occur.
Physically fit, required to lift medium to heavy packages ranging from 1-70 lbs
Proven clear criminal record
Good listening, communication organizational and planning skills.
Basic math skills (converting units of measurement and dimensions).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated PC skills for processing waybills on automated shipping system.
Must take the Transport of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS training courses
Fluently read, write and speak English.
