Fun place to look after kids
VOLUNTEER (Former Employee), Richmond, VASeptember 13, 2014
Sundays, while the church sermon was going on, we would care from kids between the ages of 3 months to 4 years old. I learned how to care and interact with children. Co-workers were lovely and they all wanted to help and be productive.

Pros: great people
Cons: fellowship hall too small
I like my church. It's a volunteer position and I could not go through life without my spiritual experience.

An enjoyable experience
Gardener/ general labour (Former Employee), Tallaght, DJune 22, 2014
Pros: working mostly outdoors
Cons: unfamiliar equipment
It was volunteer work that I found surprisingly enjoyable. The atmosphere was amiable and the work was mostly enjoyable.

I learned how to follow instruction but also was afforded some independent responsibilities. Management was very helpful and understanding. Co-workers were in the same situation as me so we got on very well.

The hardest part of – more... the job was using gardening equipment I was unfamiliar with. The most enjoyable part of the job was working outdoors. – less

I usually help organize and distributes food for the USDA Food bank.
Arrange and categorizes food items
Distribute and arrange clothing.

I learn that I am lucky to have what I have, I see people come in there all the time that don't have anything and it breaks my heart. I love though to be able to help out people that need help.
