Playing with kids in the playroom
nanny, helper (Current Employee), Grand Cayman Cayman IslandsMay 20, 2014
Pros: food allowance
Cons: it dosen't matter
I am working 40 hrs a wk.I work in a big house as a nanny and helper as well. I learn how to manage things because when my boss leave the islands i stay with the kids by myself. It is not easy working alone in the big house but i can say that it is good experience also because i learned a lot. And the most enjoyable part is when we travel to the places – more... that i really love too. – less

I do daily chores around the house cleaning, dusting, – more... & laundry. Meet with nurses aid twice a week also Hospice nurse. Social worker comes out every few weeks to meet with us. – less

Was great to have those years with my Grandmother before she went to a nursing home
Caregiver (Former Employee), Omaha, NEFebruary 28, 2013

Cons: wasnt able to leave her for long periods of time, couldn't leave her to go persue a career
I was to oversee her daily life to be sure she was safe, taking her medications, eating and eating properly. I usually would give her medicures and pedicures weekly and we would play UNO nightly. Light housekeeping and just keeping her busy throughout the day
