The enterprise architect (EA) plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company’s technology strategy, processes, and information technology roadmap. The architect partners with both business and technology groups to ensure that the proposed technical solutions not only align with the company’s overall objectives, but also ensures that both groups enable and drive each other to meet the needs of the company’s mission and vision.

  • Builds the long-term strategic roadmap for all IT systems architecture
  • Aligns IT strategy and planning with the company’s business goals and objectives
  • Seamlessly integrates business and service strategy into enterprise architecture roadmap
  • Partners with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
  • Leads the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects
  • Partners with other solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution
  • Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company
  • Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows
  • Manages and facilitates a review board to evaluate project proposals for architectural fit
  • Circulates roadmaps to align IT priorities with business partner needs
  • Identify opportunities for automation, cost savings and business improvement
  • Ensure team and users understand risk mitigation policy and procedures
  • Implement risk mitigation processes and procedures within area of practice
  • Maintain latest information on internal risk management and compliance requirements
  • Works closely with teams to mitigate risk and develop plans to comply with Audit findings

Job Requirements

  • University degree in technology, engineering, business or related experience in the field with a proven track record of success in leading IT organizations.
  • 10 plus years of IT Experience
  • Experience building enterprise architecture roadmaps
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions (e.g. VMware, Citrix, SAP, Salesforce, Opentext)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with business process and performance modeling, benchmarking, and
  • financial analysis

  • Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology
  • Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements
