LUTW implements projects that provide sustainable energy solutions and lighting to communities without connection to the electrical grid. Since 1997 LUTW has been part of bringing light and sustainable energy to homes in 54 countries. LUTW established its first field office in Peru in 2010 to serve the estimated 4 million people in the country without access to electricity.

About the Job:
The Regional Office Manager is a full-time position based in LUTW’s Regional Office in Lima, Peru. The ROM is one of the key positions at LUTW for representation and networking in Peru, project development and management in Latin America, financial management and budgeting, compliance, communications, human resources management, and policy development and enforcement. The ROM will spend about 60% of their time working from Lima and about 40% of their time will be spent in rural locations in Peru and other countries where LUTW is active in Latin America.

Roles and Responsibilities of the ROM position:
- Identify and evaluate potential projects and partners in Latin America
- Work with partner organizations to plan and coordinate project activities
- Assist in project execution – coordination, training, installation, monitoring + evaluation
- Manage security, safety, and other policies related to LUTW operations
- Ensure compliance and good standing of LUTW in Peru
- Maintain communication protocols and develop communication materials
- Represent LUTW and develop networking opportunities
- Contribute to strategic planning, annual reporting requirements, and budgeting
- Identify and investigate potential sources of funding and work with the Director of Fund Development to prepare grant applications
- Recruit, train and manage regional office staff, including evaluations and remuneration
- Organize and host groups of international participants/volunteers

Skills and Qualifications:
LUTW is seeking a candidate with a diverse skill set to fill this position. The ideal candidate will match the following profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Development, Social Studies or related field
- Previous Project Management experience in a development country setting
- Previous experience in finance, in particular, budgeting
- Previous experience in logistics
- Previous experience evaluating potential partners and projects
- Previous experience in office management, legal and bureaucratic affairs
- Intermediate Spanish required; Proficiency in English required
- Committed and prepared to work a varied schedule and in basic rural conditions
- Ability to manage others and team dynamics
- Organized, self motivated and able to self manage
- Cross-cultural communication skills
- Detail oriented, efficient, and able to promptly meet deadlines
- Ability to be based in Lima, Peru with regular travel in that country and other parts of Latin America - previous work experience in Latin America is an asset

Commensurate with experience based on LUTW’s Salary Scale for Field Staff. Will be granted a Peruvian contract and assume legal responsibility for the organization in Peru.
