Lifetime Networks is a not for profit organization that offers a variety of individualized supports to people with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
We are looking for a teacher/facilitator to manage all aspects of our post- secondary program, including curriculum development, delivery, student and assistant support, establishment of community partnerships and contribution to the Management Team.
I am an organized, energetic person with a compassion for understanding and celebrating differences in people. I have a degree in education or a related field and extensive experience supporting people with developmental disabilities. I have programing experience, knowledge of community resources, and expertise teaching and leading groups. I want to contribute and be part of a team. I am willing to work hard to mentor growth and success for the people in my program.
What We Will Ask of You
Develop your daily curriculum to deliver the overarching goals of Being A Citizen
Manage the overall delivery of the curriculum and evaluate its ongoing effectiveness
Manage Being A Citizen assistants and mentor them as they support the learners
Report to the Executive Director and work with the Finance Director to implement the program budget
Meet with individuals and families interested in Being A Citizen
Keep accurate weekly records and personal plans for each learner
Attend resource fairs and other opportunities to represent the Being A Citizen Program
Be an integral part of the Management Team
Be on site Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 4:00 plus occasional after hours volunteer time
