Job Title: Quality Management Coordinator

Job Purpose: The Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for the systematic monitoring and evaluation of the various aspects in the manufacturing process to maximize the Company profitability and to ensure approved standards of quality are being attained by the production process. The Coordinator develops and monitors proactive, preventative systems to ensure the product is suitable for the intended purpose and that manufacturing mistakes are eliminated.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Based on defined requirements of the customer, puts in place manufacturing processes and systems to ensure that the requirements of the customers are met stringently such as process documentation, establishing standards, developing checklists, conducting internal audits, conducting external audits, failure mode effect analysis and training
 Recommends guidelines and standards for assurance of quality, once approved monitors to check whether deliverables meet the quality requirements or not
 Ensures the deliverables satisfy the quality requirements as well as the specifications of the customers
 Overall responsibility for assessing and approving the level of quality of the products
 Finds and eliminates causes of quality deficiencies through tools and equipment to ensure the customer’s requirements are continually met
 Identifies the defects in order to correct them in a timely manner
 Works closely with plant management and factory technicians to ensure process and product conformity
 Regulates the quality of raw materials, assembles products and components, services
 Detects problems that may impair the quality system and suggests solutions to resolve the issue before it affects the quality of goods
 Utilizes feedback from other departments and external recommendations to ensure the department is consistently in a continuous improvement mode
 Oversees facility, sanitation and pest control
 Works with Government agencies on HACCP and other regulator areas as it relates to Quality and delivering a safe product to the consumer
 Works with Product development team to ensure continued growth of the organization
 Leads the SQF control and identifies needs and develops programs so that we receive approval
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
 Current HACCP certification required
 Current SQF practitioner training strong asset
 Experienced in developing and maintaining HACCP and SQF standards
 Experienced in training and monitoring standards for assurance of quality
 Excellent customer service attitude and skills
 Excellent written and oral communication skills
 Superior organizational skills
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, displaying tact, diplomacy leadership and professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
 Ability to meet deadlines and to pay constant attention to detail
 Good working knowledge of company and program policies and procedures
 Ability to prioritize own workload and take initiative
 Problem solving skills and flexibility
 Fluency in Chinese an asset
