The incumbent will work closely with the design lead, projects managers and engineering to create, draft and/or design packages to customer's specifications and schedule requirements. Also he/she will have a desire for career advancement to project management.
Education, Skills and Experience
Technical school graduate in Engineering Design & Drafting Technology with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in the Western Canada market.
Prefer experience in oil and gas and/or manufacturing industry(s)
Good working knowledge of ASME/ANSI B31.3 (Process Piping Code) and CSA Piping Standards
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, and Proficient with MS Applications (Word, Excel)
Comprehensive understanding of P&ID's and piping layouts
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize work to meet customer deadlines
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership qualities and desire to advance will weigh in favor of the candidate.
