Was fun when I started until imaginary "Spotters" showed up
Bartender (Former Employee), Detroit, MI – August 2, 2012
Pros: easy to make money if you are on a good bar
Worked there 3 years without so much as a write up and was let go due to a so called spotter seeing me over pour a drink. Mind you, a few weeks prior a spotter had observed me pouring 2 liquors in a drink, which when called in the office was found to be untrue, the drink required 2 liquors, so this was cause for alarm as the people who are supposed – more... to watching the bar did not even have a clue to all of our drinks. then, weeks later I was called into the office again to be accused of overpouring, yet when i had the union rep with me, the managers closed the door and began whispering. Once the union rep was involved, there was no spotters report, no record of said drink in which I poured and I was still let go. meanwhile, new hires had gotten the bar shut down early due to serving minors, but they still had a job afterwards (they were also non union) to say i was infuriated was a understatement as I have never been accused and convicted of something with no evidence to substantiate the claim. was a awesome job in the beginning, but then the hiring of new management was the beginning of the end. – less

no matter who well you work and perform managemnt doesn't give you credit
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Washington, DC – July 28, 2012
Pros: you get to eat free
Cons: short breaks or no breaks
This ic a company that claims that it is union and you pay union dues but when the time comes to use the union you are left out in the cold. A typical day at work can be fun but exhausting and depending on what your job title is there is a lot you could learn. Your co-workers can help or harm you. The hardest part of the job is dealing with management – more... when there is a disagreement. Management is not willing to hear your side. They take a stance and that s just it. Its not if's, and's or but's and thatr's the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable part is the people that you meet along with way that attends the games. – less

The most fun, enjoyable, and employee friendly place to work
Alcohol sales at Reno Aces Ballpark (Current Employee), Reno, NV – July 26, 2012
Typical day starts with walking into the ballpark knowing its going to be an exciting day. Spend most of the day interacting with guest while making purchases. Usually its a victory for the home team so we are all happy. Management is always around and they are incredibly personable. Hardest part of the job is going home and waiting til the next game.

Exciting and fun enviroment
Prep cook/ Amuse (Former Employee), Jacksonville, FL – July 21, 2012
Pros: family meals, friendly people, great food
Cons: hours are long, requirements are tedious
Prepped and prepared food items as directed.
Worked amuse on the Terrance Level at the Jacksonville Stadium.
Provided professional and courteous guest service.
Co-workers and managment were always helpful and made the day amusing with thier conversations. The hardest part of the job was the long hours and the tedious requirements. Once all the requirments – more... and request were met you feel a sence of accomplishment rush through you. – less

Exciting work enviorment on game days
Banquet Porter, United Center (Current Employee), Chicago, IL – June 8, 2012
Pros: free lunch and dinner.
Cons: no breaks
A typical day at the United Center for me is making sure everything is set up and running smoothly. Being able to work with all different departments and always willing to lend a hand makes the day go alot smoother. The most enjoyable part of any day is getting to know the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks.

horrible place to work...... student work beware????
student -----server (Current Employee), GWCC__ATL – June 7, 2012
Pros: free food
Cons: food is unsanitized, .... will not consider degree for advancement
a typical work day involves consistent confusion from all levels of management... favoritism upon staff is alive and well...If you have a issue (like not recieving a call about new schedule) HR will not assist you cause they will side with management just to make the staff look good. The environment is dirty and infested with rat droppings. Fellow employees – more... are inner city-ish..so many more problems not enough words to explain – less

Little to no advancement opportunities
Accounts Receivable Coordinator (Former Employee), Chicago, IL – May 18, 2012
Pros: decent pay for non degreed individual
Cons: education not valued, hr is not employee friendly
Levy Restaurants is not a place you want to go as a minority. IF you happen to advance within the company, you have been there for a LONG time. Having a degree is actually a hold back, when most of the managers do not have one.
HR is a joke. If you have any issues, your best bet is to start looking for another job.
Although the work life balance is – more... ok b/c you are hourly and they didn't really want you to work overttime.
I would not recommend this place to anyone with a degree looking to start a career. If you have a high school education and the desire to just stay somewhere for a long time, and be a major suck up, your potential at this company will be limitless! – less

Cook III (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZ – May 7, 2012
Pros: expirence, free food
Cons: managment was not the best, executive sous chef didnt have the ambition
I liked the enviroment but I couldnt stand some of the people I worked with, granted they have the expirence but they dont have the knowledge and education to be telling someone they are doing it wrong. Also they had alot of disrespect to alot of other people
