Leesta Industries Limited was founded in 1964. It's founder, Mr Ernest H. Staub, first began in the basement of his home. Production was then limited to manufacturing on, Swiss made, high precision machinery. 1974 saw its expansion to 3,000 square feet. Machinery was added at a progressive rate.
Leesta had attained a good reputation through a continuance of quality workmanship, service and competitive pricing. In recognition of the outstanding performance of its employees and management as a supplier, Leesta has received a number of Supplier Achievement Awards.
In 1987, Leesta finished construction on its current plant. It was relocated, its 16,800 square feet holding some of the most technologically advanced machinery available.
Leesta is acknowledged as a contributor in the economic development of Quebec by the Industry of Trade and Commerce. In 1989, Leesta was one of the aircraft industries representing Canada in France and the United States on trade missions.
