Layer 7 Technologies is currently seeking a Corporate Trainer to facilitate the enablement and education of its employees, partners and clients. This is a new position and the first training role in the company.
The Corporate Trainer will be an educational specialist working with all Layer 7 teams to develop and deliver learning programs. Although this is an educational position, the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in the field of high technology and have experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to define requirements, build curricula and plan educational delivery.
The role will involve delivery of training (on less technical issues) approximately 25% of the time and planning/curriculum development approximately 75% of the time.
Be accountable for Layer 7’s educational curriculum and material
Deliver introductory training and orientation for new staff members
Develop education plans for different roles and communities of employees, partners and clients
Design and develop a multimedia education strategy in conjunction with the Marketing team
Develop a certification program
Handle logistics for delivery of education and training across a global organization
Minimum three years of educational experience within the information technology industry
Post-secondary degree (BA/BSc or equivalent)
Knowledge of IT education best practices, Web learning techniques and IT certification programs
Strong communication, administration and collaboration skills
Effective time management skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
Willingness to travel (about 15% of the time)
