LandSolutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager Archaeologist for our environmental division. Qualifications:
M.A. or M.Sc. in Anthropology and/or Archaeology or a closely related field
Current or attainable permit status in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and/or British Columbia
The ability to complete fieldwork in remote areas and for extended periods as required
10 years of experience in a supervisory and managment role
Key skills and experience must include:
Demonstrated project management skills for high budgeted projects
Excellent report writing and proposal writing skills
Establish relationships internally and externally while fostering a positive supportive team with your developed management skills
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to problem solve and adjust for tight deadlines
Proven experience and interest in mentoring, coaching and guiding junior personnel
Additional skills and experiences also include:
Varied work experience on assessments and mitigation excavations in prairie, forest and mountain oriented investigations
Current or potential permit status in arctic territories, eastern/central Canada, and/or U.S. states
Expert knowledge/abilities in specific technical archaeology (i.e. lithics, faunal, ceramics, historic period), anthropology (i.e. traditional use studies, aboriginal consultation) or related discipline (i.e. geomorphology/geoarchaeology, GIS, soils)
Varied work experience in archaeology consulting development types, i.e. forestry, oil and gas (pipeline, wellsite, SAGD), urban developments, roads, access or highways, water infrastructure, mining, wind energy and power transmission infrastructure
