Class 1 Driver / GASOLINE TANKER DRIVER.

Well-established Fuel Transportation Co. is seeking reliable drivers for our growing operations. This is for immediate Full Time work.
This is a great opportunity to grow with our company & work with little/no supervision.
If you are looking for a job where you are just not another Driver/ Number, this is it.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Recovery, Transportation, and Delivery of various fuels to retail and bulk end users.

  • Regional Calgary/Edmonton area with possible 1-2 nights out a week. Company paid Motel with per diem.
  • Also local bulk deliveries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class 1 driving experience -- 10 Year Work History Required
  • Clean Driving Record.
  • TDG Endorsements required
  • Tanker, PTO/Hose, and/or Rack Experience is a significant PLUS
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Ability to drive up to 11 hrs. and work up to 14 hrs.
  • Ability to transport hazardous goods while complying with all regulations, local and company policy.
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, as well as grasp, lift, and handle up to 75 lbs.

Candidates must be available to work days, an occasional night, weekend, or holiday.

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness) Training, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Professional Driver Improvement Certificate

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise, Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers

Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Protective Eyewear
