Determine and fulfill customer equipment requirements, obtain equipment, negotiate rates with customers/carriers, customer service liaison.
Must have a minimum of a secondary education supported with either industry courses (i.e., CITT, P. Log, etc.) or community college/university courses.
Minimum of 5 years logistical experience. Must possess good analytical, mathematical and problem solving techniques. Must be able to process/plan/schedule all logistical activities. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate clearly with customer focused vision. It is mandatory to be fluent in the English language both written and oral. Must have a proven ability to work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment. Must be able to multi task and use common sense to prioritize tasks in a logical sequence. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team. Must be willing to participate in other duties as required (i.e., clerical). Must possess computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook Express ~ must have a working knowledge of Load Link, PC Miler, etc. Be proactively seeking to procure new business while maintaining and growing existing business.
