Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers human resources practices and objectives that will support a high performance culture emphasizing continuous improvement
  • Coordinates recruitment activities including advertising, testing, interviewing, selection and on-boarding
  • Implements and maintains retention strategies
  • Co-ordinates performance management programs
  • Provides internal customer support in employee relations including training and development
  • Administers compensation, recognition and rewards programs.
  • Maintains and assists with preparation of job descriptions for all employees
  • Assists operations with employee placement, scheduling and orientation
  • Responds to employee inquiries
  • Maintains and updates company policies
  • Maintains and updates employee handbook
  • Maintains promotional material
  • Responsible for employee communication

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • CHRP designation or working towards certification
  • Total confidentiality is required for this position
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Superior communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal legislation, company policies
