Conducting analyses using spreadsheets, statistical software, and databases
Develop and maintain scripts and queries to import, manipulate and clean data from different sources.
Assemble and maintain databases to support analyses.
Create, operate and maintain script-driven methodologies for the generation of analysis and reports. These methodologies involve VBA coding, logical problem solving, and basic math skills.
Perform quality assurance on generated results to ensure consistency.
Preparation of "client ready" deliverables
Prepare professional results in presentation and document format.
Quality assurance on final results for consistency in numbers and formatting.
Interacting with clients and client organizations
Dealing with data providers in client organizations, specifically in the development of data requests, checking of data received, and follow up with data providers on data issues.
Working with our team on internal improvement projects.
The position can also involve the development of user interfaces, charting applications, and database applications; however this is not a core requirement of the position.
We are looking for a results oriented self-starter who is able to assume responsibility and ownership for active projects.
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
Required technical skills:
o 1 year of work experience with Microsoft Access (not including coursework), including the ability to work with VBA (ADO/DAO), and the ability to work with SQL syntax (this can be with assistance of query editors)
o Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel, including VBA
o Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, including the ability to prepare professional looking documents and presentations
