Job Title: Sales Rep - Grand Pianos

We are working with one of the most established piano resellers in Canada. They provide a broad range of classical instruments, but their primary focus is pianos. They are currently hiring a sales person to sell their line of pianos.
They sell to a broad range of customers. From families upgrading their upright to a grand piano, to schools and institutions purchasing pianos for their facilities. It's a diverse audience, but the glue that holds them together is a love of music and the arts.
We're looking for an up-and-coming sales person with 2 to 5 years of sales experience and a passion for the arts. 70% of your time will be spent in the showroom selling to clients and walk-ins, and 30% will be out prospecting for new business. You will prospect by networking at the conservatory, attending concerts and participating in cultural events in the city.
The position offers a salary of $35,000 with on target income of $65,000. Top performing sales people break $85,000 in their first 2 years, and many reps exceed $100,000 in their 3rd year.
2-5 years of sales experience (must-have)
Experience playing the piano (must-have)
Interest in the arts and classical music
Ability to explain the nuances and benefits of the pianos (you will receive training)
Strong interpersonal skills, and an outgoing personality
Natural sales person who connects quickly with people
Like to network, meet new people and find new business opportunities
Interest and willingness to attend concerts and cultural events to network and prospect (these events often happen on evenings and weekends)
