Position: Digital Marketing Content Writer
Status: 25 hours per week
Location: Downtown Vancouver
LAT Multilingual is seeking an independent and resourceful individual to create and manage its online content.
Established in 1999, LAT has built a solid reputation in the translation industry in North America. With a vast network of language specialists and writers who reside and work in our clients’ target markets, we provide translation services to help companies and organizations reach multilingual communities.
Given the importance of social media, we want to position ourselves as the go-to translation agency for companies seeking a complete solution for their multilingual inbound marketing strategy.
Working from our downtown office, the primary role of the Digital Marketing Content Writer is to assist the marketing team by developing engaging content that supports and furthers the company’s marketing objectives. This includes website content, marketing materials, newsletters, press releases and other resources. Other aspects of this position include organizing meetups, webinars and presentations and sourcing and promoting content on LAT’s English social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn) as well as channels in other languages, in collaboration with team members. This contractual position could evolve into a permanent position for the right candidate.
. Create and manage a content calendar:
.... Blogs, newsletter, articles, white papers, presentations, case studies, videos, resources, etc
. Manage social media accounts:
.... Grow and engage with followers by posting interesting content and interacting with other users
.... Assist coordinators responsible for marketing in other languages/platforms
. Monitor, edit and update the website to keep it fresh and to increase traffic:
.... collect, review and analyze analytics: leads, traffic, etc.;
.... monitor and adjust content for SEO;
.... update website content regularly to keep it updated with case studies, resources, etc;
.... fix bugs and edit content errors;
. Approve all English marketing content before it is published
. Plan online and offline events
Required Skills & Experience:
. Experience with creating and identifying quality content for social media feeds;
. Creativity with content development;
. Simple, friendly, and professional writing tone and style;
. Eye for detail (particularly when editing/proofreading);
. Excellent organizational skills;
. Excellent command of written and verbal communication in English;
. Good knowledge of social media sites and tools (HootSuite, Hubspot, etc);
Desired Skills & Experience:
. Good understanding of HTML and CSS;
. Demonstrated experience and a passion for social media;
. Experience with online monitoring and measurement;
. Knowledge of web usability best practices, website navigation design and flow, content classification, and content management methods and systems;
. Knowledge of design and video editing would be an asset;
. Excellent time management and organizational skills, self-motivated and team oriented;
. A second language is a definite asset;
. Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously
. Basic knowledge of WordPress
