We are looking for Full Time Bilingual Customer Service & Office Administrator (3 month contract) for our Head Office location.

Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Service

  • Receptionist duties
  • Answer telephone calls promptly, accurately and courteously
  • Enter orders promptly and accurately
  • Recognize and respond to cross-sell and up-sell opportunities presented in order calls
  • Resolve customer service problems, within proscribed company guidelines and a manner designed to retain and promote customer loyalty
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities (order returns, sample requests, etc)
  • Fully knowledgeable in L’Occitane products
  • Keeps up to date with new products, launches and promotions
  • Answer email inquiries and respond in a timely manner
  • Engage with customers on online chat
  • Coordinate with UPS on delivery issues
  • Process exchange or write offs accordingly
  • Report quality problems

Office Administrator

  • Clerical and data entry work
  • Book flights and hotel for corporate staff and retail managers
  • Maintain office phone system and directory listing
  • Coordinate meetings at head office
  • Put together store manuals (operations, HR, Employee handbook)
  • Prepare donation forms and create basket/bags for donation recipients
  • Other duties may be assigned time to time


  • Must be Bilingual; Fluency in English and French (written and verbal
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience
  • Minimum 6 months + telephone customer service experience
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, and remain self-motivated
  • Experience with consumer products (especially beauty or luxury products) is strongly preferred
  • Flexibility, particularly as it relates to scheduling
  • Must present a positive professional and energetic attitude
  • Must have strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Tenacious, competitive, detail and goal oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must know the company history, philosophy and embrace it
  • Must be an ambassador of the L’Occitane brand

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business


  • Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm (November 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014)
