Kretschmar, a Division of PBOLP, a leader in the production of quality smoked and cooked meat products, is seeking an addition to their team as:
HACCP Coordinator / SQF Practitioner
Reporting to the QA Manager, the successful applicant will maintain Certification standards by updating and maintaining the Food Safety System (HACCP System, GFSI) by training, auditing, maintenance of QA related documents, as well as the reassessment and validation of policies and procedures.
A. Develop, monitor, audit and update HACCP Systems documentation, prerequisite programs and related procedures and policies for the facility.
B. Review, develop and update policies and procedures relating to FSEP for specific departments and train as required.
C. Prepare & Coordinate Training Programs for Employee Hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP Procedures, Critical Control Point Procedures, Allergen Program, Recall Team Training
D. Coach and mentor HACCP / SQF teams to ensure maintenance of the related programs
E. Facilitate/Participate in meetings as follows:
SQF/HACCP team – Quarterly
Mock Recalls – bi – annually
CFIA related activity when needed
F. Facilitator of Recall Program - Conduct mock recalls twice per year
G. Pathogen and Micro testing - Facilitate and assist CFIA to ensure Risk Based Listeria testing programs are met at the correct frequency.
Coordinate swabbing of RTE lines with operations and production control in order to meet regulatory standards.
Perform swabbing assistance as requested (T3, deep cleaning) by QA Manager
Schedule T-3 testing and CFIA M-200 and 205
Provide samples to lab with required documentation where applicable as requested by QA Manager.
Review unscheduled testing with outside laboratories as required
Update Hold and Release data base and communications.
H. CFIA/CVS Program - Monitor compliance to program requirements
Coordinate CFIA requests
Respond to CFIA CAR’s and additional requests in a timely manner
Do and or monitor the positive releases as required
Act as a back-up to the QA Manager and QA Staff positions as required
All other duties as assigned by the QA Manager
I. Internal Audit - Perform comprehensive internal / plant audits reviews and provide recommendations for program enhancements to ensure continuous improvements.
Degree from a recognized University, preferably Food Science or related program.
Minimum 3 years of related experience
SQF Training or completion of SQF Practitioner training - qualification exam is an asset
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent social skills (Customer, CFIA, Management & Auditors)
Experience in conducting presentations would be an asset
Basic understanding of French language would be an asset
Public speaking comfort level as asset
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
