Executive (Current Employee), Mumbai, MHAugust 2, 2014
you will never get bored to work in KPMG, trust me NEVER!!!!! always fun to work at. 5 days in a week tremendous work pressure but luckily i had a very good team so working till late was never an issue. Management was a bit tough to handle, but its the same story in all the organisation. Team members were very supportive and ready to work on any sort – more... of project. The toughest of the job was we sometimes has to work on weekend which was intimated at the last minute. so due to client commitment there was never a NO coming out of the mouth.

OVERALL AN EXCELLENT FIRM TO WORK WITH...... – less

Great place to work
Research Analyst (Former Employee), Rwenzori Courts Kampala UgandaAugust 1, 2014
With the audit reviews to make for companies willing to participate in the top 100 mid sized company survey that took place annually,it was a good way to put my accounting skills to work since there were particular ratios that were computed so as to be summarized to competite in the survey.
Some companies would not allow to realise their audit reports – more... even if you took an oath to keep the confidential yet it was highly required of us to be proffessional and maintain secrecy no matter what but those that came through was privillaged to meet the Managing directors or CEOs which was self sustaining. – less

Productive & Fun workplace
Business Administration (Former Employee), London Canary WharfJuly 28, 2014
It's not all that busy but their is a lot of workload on certain days. Every one is really polite and it's a chilled atmosphere. It's not strict and managers are really friendly and approachable. Help is always around when needed and it's a company which helps you through every stage and opens many doors for you. There are many benefits for you in KPMG – more... but it all depends on the area you work in. – less

Designer (Former Employee), ShanghaiJuly 16, 2014
Pros: professional team work; a clear career path;
Cons: lack of creative enviroment for a designer.
KPMG, one of the 'Big four', is a great company in terms of profession and productivity. As a designer in KPMG, I was responsible for material design of China compus recruitment and internal communication. The work involved website page design, brochure design, poster design et cetera. The job needs me to deliver the creativity and visual attraction – more... as well as brand consistency. The enjoyable part is the sense of achievement that I have tens of thousands of students readers and get the good feedback from them. In the same time, my design work supports strongly firm's image of profession and productivity. – less

Productive and great training ground.
Internal Auditor (Current Employee), Johannesburg, GPJuly 14, 2014
Pros: great training and travel.
Cons: long hours and low compensation/rewards.
- Days are deadline and productivity driven.
- Time is very important and should be used productively and chargeable to the client.
- Management is helpful however they appreciate individuals who take initiative and show the willingness to take on more responsibility while they are able to complete their duties as well.
- The hardest part of the job – more... is working overtime and late hours to reach client expectations and deadlines even though the time provided is unreasonable to complete the work required. The rewards/compensation is not market related and equivalent to the work load and pressure.
- The most enjoyable part is the travelling and meeting new people and being challenged on every audit engagement. Builds character and develops your skills while learning new skills. – less
