The Consultant/Business Analyst is responsible for the delivery of components of client engagements, supporting their team, as well as improving their skill sets and contributing to the overall success of the consulting practice.


Engagement Delivery

Makes every effort possible to execute and complete assigned projects within the constraints of time, scope, and budget for the project
Exercises creativity and resourcefulness in meeting client needs, including presentation preparation, best practices identification and industry research that best fit the client’s needs
Obtains an understanding of client’s business processes; modifying and developing new processes required to support adoption and use of the solution developed for the client
In some cases, responsible for reporting to client and Knowledgetech management the status of the project during engagement, such as accomplishments, plans, risk mitigation
Understands, applies, and supports the proper use of Knowledgetech methodology standards
Supports the capture of knowledge of the engagement for future use on Knowledgetech projects to increase quality and value of future engagements

Business Development

Supports opportunity identification and development in existing accounts
Assists and makes recommendations for client account planning by preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and project approaches
Estimation and work breakdown structure for work orders

Other responsibilities include

Represents Knowledgetech values to other associates and clients
Shares knowledge with others, e.g. updates to Knowledgetech knowledge repositories, internal/external presentations, postings to public blogs
Other responsibilities as may be assigned due to business requirements


Education and experience

A minimum of 3 years of post-secondary education, preferably in a Business or IT discipline
A minimum of 3 years project experience in the IT services industry
Management experience is an asset
A minimum of 3 years experience in QA, e.g. creating test cases, system testing, etc.
Experience in a top consulting firm or Fortune 100 company is preferred
Industry experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Transportation and/or Utilities is beneficial

The following certifications are assets:

Project Management– (PgMP, PMP, CAPM)
Business Analysis – CBAP
Risk and Governance – CGEIT, CISSP, CISA, CRISC
Consulting – CMC
Professional – CMA, MBA

Skills and competencies

A strong understanding of one or more of the following areas is required: Project Management, Business Analysis, Risk and Governance, Organizational Change Management and Methodologies
A proven track record of service excellence
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
A team player
High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to make decisions with incomplete information
Flexibility in assuming different roles and responsibilities as required
Ability to work independently with clients, proactive, self-starter, and self-managed
