This leading manufacturer of highly complex, precision machined and assembled components requires the talents of an Engineering Manager to lead teams of Process Planners, CNC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers and Product Engineers supporting a low-volume, high value, small batch production model. A constant challenge will be to lead the team toward Standardized Work Instructions and applying Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve One Piece Flow ensuring Quality and Delivery targets are met. The Engineering Manager's role is that of a 'hub' of a wheel, directly relating to the 'spokes' of Customers, Sales, Production and Quality as technical support to bids & proposals and interpreting specification requirements into work instructions, processes and tasks. This high visibility requires the Engineering Manager to be an excellent communicator, quick-minded, analytical & decisive and display superb team-building, training, coaching talents. Our ideal candidate will bring an Engineering Degree and proven leadership experiences in precision CNC machining of high-temperature, high-strength alloys, mechanical machine assembly & test validation and experience working to tight military, nuclear or aerospace specifications. Candidates must satisfy ITAR-related security requirements.
