Child Intervention Therapist (CIT) position provides an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of the therapeutic process, and to work with a multi-disciplinary team. Child Intervention Therapist (CIT) is a part-time position that involves working one on one with a child with special needs in their home and community.
As a critical component of our clinical program team, our CIT will implement program strategies based on goals created by the team. The CITs work collaboratively with the family, an Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech Language Therapist (SLP), and a Behaviour Consultant.
CITs are involved in the planning and implementation of appropriate activities that target the child’s goals.
CITs have the opportunity to create and adapt materials to assist them in establishing rapport with the child and their family, and further to the home therapy program.
We are currently recruiting candidates for Stettler. Access to a personal vehicle and driver’s license is required to travel to client’s home.
Starting wage: 16.05/hr. In addition, travel expense will be provided in required cases. The ideal candidate would be available on Saturday mornings.
