Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their Midstream Projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the project management related to the design and construction of midstream facilities. This will include the supervision of 3rd party engineering firms, construction contractors and coordination of project execution within our client’s organization.

This position will appeal to someone seeking the challenges and rewards of “hands-on” involvement from inception to final commissioning.

Based in our client's downtown Calgary Office, you will be required to travel, periodically, to the project area.

Co-ordinate and manage outside engineering consultants, specialty consultants and contractors for the execution of design, construction and commissioning of midstream facilities;
Collaborate with the Project Team, Field Operations and others within the organization to enhance and continuity of effort and execution effectiveness;
Ensure that the midstream terminal projects and facilities satisfy all technical, operational, commercial, maintenance and quality requirements defined in our specifications, standards and practices and within approved budget and schedule;
Coordinate ERCB and other applications related to the construction of the midstream facilities;
Ensure efficient and cost effective delivery of the assigned pipeline projects. Manage costs and schedules for the assigned projects;
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating contract administration, construction management and commissioning of the facilities;
Participate in the negotiations & arbitrations of various forms of EPCM and construction contracts;
Develop and update detailed execution plans for all phases of the project, providing a tool for all team members to define directions and guide decisions;
Generate and maintain project planning documentation, including, schedules, cost control mechanisms and work breakdown structures;
Commitment to continuously act in a safety, environmental and socially conscientious manner to maintain the dependability, integrity and safety of our client's work sites and systems


Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering with 7+ years professional experience in oil facilities, truck and rail terminals, and condensate pipelines;
Previous field experience in oilfield construction and facility operations;
Must be familiar with ERCB and all other applicable regulatory agency guidelines and policies;
A proven record in a project management and supervisory capacity and possess strong interpersonal, people management and team building skills;
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience in writing reports, letters, correspondence and presentations; and
Certification and training in Project Management processes would be a definite asset.
