Field Labourer - Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the mobilization, monitoring, troubleshooting and demobilization of water well and pumping systems
  • Assist with the routine maintenance and servicing of equipment
  • Using, cleaning, and maintaining the different tools required at the worksite
  • When not in the field will work in the shop and complete duties as per a Shop Labourer A

Working Conditions:

  • Field environment (70-80%)
  • Shop environment (20-30%)
  • Be willing to and able work in remote locations for extended periods of time
  • The work is both physically and mentally demanding
  • Must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat
  • May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells
  • May at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose, and skin from irritation and infection
  • Physically fit as the position requires the individual to be on their feet all day and lift items that weigh up to or over 20kg
  • Working closely with the skilled and experienced workers
  • Working closely with clients and third party contractors
  • Working at heights
  • Working in confined spaces
  • Expect to do a considerable amount of lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, and balancing, therefore a certain amount of strength, dexterity, and alertness is required
  • Work with high voltage electricity

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Basic Mechanical knowledge
  • Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner

  • Ability to work with powered construction tools is an asset
  • Deal with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent demanding deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and organizational planning skills with attention to detail

  • Ensure that all of Ketek Group safety policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed
  • Be considerate of the needs of our community and the environment

Service Representative Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client satisfaction of Ketek Group equipment and service
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair of oilfield surface rental equipment
  • Rig-up and rig-out of rental equipment

Working Conditions:

  • On call 24/7
  • Field environment (90%)
  • Shop environment (10%)
  • The work is physically demanding
  • Physically fit as the position requires the individual to be on their feet all day and lift items that weigh up to or over 20kg
  • Must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat
  • May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells
  • May at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose, and skin from irritation and infection

  • Oil drilling site experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent demanding deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Deal with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Expert driving and road safety knowledge
  • Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
