We are looking for a full time experienced HR professional to join our team. This job requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
This position will support approximately 50 employees and over 500 independent contractors. Candidates with their CHRP designation and/or over 5 years experience in all facets of HR are preferred. The selected candidate will have sound knowledge of and experience working with Ontario's Employment Standards Act, WSIB, Ministry of Labour, Occupational Health and Safety Act and other statutory laws.
As our HR Manager you will be responsible for a wide variety of HR tasks including but not limited to: policy writing, contract development, employee recruitment and selection, training and development, health and safety adherence, employee relations, maintaining employee and independent contractor files, group benefit program administration, and employee development. In addition this role will provide counsilling means to employees as required to ensure performance and productivity levels are met.
The successful candidate will be astute, approachable, and open minded. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Success in this role requires the ability to pay close attention to detail, accuracy, and equity. Our HR manager will be engaging, work harmoniousy as a member of our management team and bring forward new ideas.
Start at $50,000 annually plus group benefits after 3 months and 2 weeks vacation.
