Recruiter/Staffing Supervisor (Former Employee), Ottawa, OH – November 22, 2013
The job consisted of placing temporary employees to fill an order for a customer. During my time there I became proficient in Microsoft applications. The management was helpful and my co-workers were great.
Machine Operator (Former Employee), Orangeburg, SC – August 5, 2013
Pros: management availablity
Cons: no benefit as a temporary employee
Worked at Federal Mogul 9 years previously and was lay-off related to downsizing. Rehired by Kelly Temporary Services to Federal Mogul company several years later. I was experienced with the machines, the equipment and the job. I love my job and working with the co-workers, as well as working for Kelly Services management. I enjoyed working as a team. – more... Everybody working together and helping each other to get the job done. I dislike when co-workers do not do their part or take responsibility in the job. – less
Customer Service Rep (Former Employee), Kennesaw, GA – July 31, 2013
Pros: compensations, long hours, flexible shifts, etc.
Cons: short breaks, etc.
A typical day at work for Kelly Services would be 8am-7pm. Answering inbound calls for a tax software company. I learned how to use Avaya phones and software. Co-workers were friendly and professional. The hardest thing about working for tax services is that everyone is doing there taxes at the same time so its very hetic. The most enjoyable part of – more... the job was compensation and being able to help others and gain experience at the same time. – less
Fast paced environment that enhanced my skill settings. Management was fair and my coworkers were awsome. There were no hard disadvantages and the part I enjoyed the most was learning new innovative challenges daily.
Kelly temporary services not so great/ Blue Cross & Blue Shield was great.
Provider Service Representative at BCBS of SC (Former Employee), South Carolina – July 30, 2013
Pros: full-time, professional atmosphere.
Cons: the system failures
I answered phone calls, and gave providers correct information on eligibility and benefits of the patients, along with leaving detailed informs on every call. I learned allot about medical insurance, as well as was trained and certified in UlyssesLearning ServiceMentor. Coworkers were very helpful, and kind, management was always helpful and kind as – more... well. Hardest part of the job was when the systems went down and having to "down calls" (meaning telling the providers to call back later). Most enjoyable part of the job was being able to please the provider and help as much as possible. – less

Pros: amenities offered by bcbssc/discounts
Cons: short breaks
A TYPICAL DAY STARTS BY ANSWERING CALLS THAT DROP INTO A HEADSET AND ANSWERING QUESTIONS BY THE MEMBERS AND PROVIDERS. THIS IS VERY DEMANDING AND IT OFFERS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO STAY FOCUSED AND ALERT AND I ENJOY HELPING PEOPLE AND HELPING THEM UNDERSTAND PROCEDURES AND POLICIES.

UMR I (Former Employee), Cincinnati, OH – July 24, 2013
Pros: a concerned helpful environment for the client/patient.
Cons: a hard place to get hired on as an anthem/wellpoint employee.
Kelly Services serves as a good springboard to gain employment. Although Anthem is kind of hard to get hired on for through Kelly Services. They typically keep you on for a just under a year, lay you off for a month then bring you back as a temp. For the most part my co-workers were nice and helpful. I learned medical terminology, how to use and navigate – more... through 4 different systems. I also learned how to verify eligibility and pre-authorize patients for specific medical testing. The most enjoyable part was when I could get the patient pre-authorized. Not everyone was immediately pre-authorized so they would have to wait for a dr.'s review, which caused them to wait longer. – less
