Kawartha Ethanol is a three shift 365 day/yr operation. The available position is a Mon – Fri day shift based on a 40 hour work week. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will join an existing Maintenance team and offer support for day to day mechanical requirements. Due to 24/hr operations, “Call Ins” will be expected.
Successful candidate may possess the following:
Possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
C of Q as an Industrial Millwright, Heavy Equipment Mechanic or equivalent
Millwright experience > 5 years
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently or as a group in a safety oriented environment
Skills listed below would be an asset:
Experience with completing PM, PDM and emergency machine repair.
Strong Mechanical skills and the ability to follow & understand process flow.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Familiar with safe rigging and hoisting practices
Basic welding skills
Detect and troubleshoot irregularities or malfunctions
Assembly and adjustment of machinery and equipment
Responsible for start-up and testing of new and repaired machinery
Repairs to pumps, bearings, seals and packing
Communicate material and inventory requirements to maintenance buyer or supervisor
Perform regular housekeeping duties
Must comply with assigned objectives, priorities
Willing to be available afterhours including weekends as part of our breakdown response mandate
Ability to read & understand Electrical Schematics and P&ID drawings.
