EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

BAND (MANAGER) ADMINISTRATOR

Montana First Nation is currently looking for an Administrator to support Chief and Council and the administration in the development and delivery of services to achieve the community vision.
You'll be responsible for leading, managing, coordinating and participating in a variety of initiatives to ensure that resources, responsibilities and timelines required by the management team are clearly articulated and brought forward to facilitate strategic planning and decision making.

Qualifications:

A minimum of Bachelors degree in business, planning or related discipline, or other related areas of equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in a senior management level with;
  • Excellent experience in areas of Finance and Economic development, knowledge of Incorporated business and non profit societies, and proposal writing
  • Experience in a comparable work environment with similar scope, independence, responsibility and authority;
  • Finance background
  • Experience in working with First Nations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, and handle competing priorities within tight deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office package, a must;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Possess a positive attitude and work well with people.
  • Proficient key boarding/word processing skills required
  • Minute taking skills required
  • Knowledge of First Nation issues and Treaties an asset,
  • Ability to speak and understand Cree Language an Asset

Salary: Negotiable-Depending on qualifications and Experience
