Position: Web Design and Project Manager

Duties:

To co ordinate the redesign and development of the company’s e-commerce website.
To work with the Web Developer, providing design ideas and story boards and ensuring that these ideas are implemented correctly and to a deadline.
To manage updates and suggest new ideas to continuously improve the company’s e-commerce and promotional websites.
To manage the marketing of the e-commerce website using various marketing platforms.
To improve SEO for Kanata Home.
To work with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to constantly suggest and present new ideas in which to market the retail brand and improve user experiences within the e-commerce and promotional websites.
Available to travel to assist with trade shows throughout Canada and the US.
Assist with product photo shoots, suggesting ideas, styling products and stepping in for the photographer when necessary.
To design marketing materials, catalogs, flyers.
Proofing images.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Wage: $30,000 + (based on experience)

Location: Richmond, B.C

Skills required:

A degree in a relating field (business, marketing, web development, graphic design).
Experience working in website design and development within an e-commerce environment.
Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
Knowledge of HTML and CMS systems
An extensive knowledge of various marketing platforms and SEO.
Able to demonstrate creativity in design.
Confident in presenting ideas to management.
The ability to work individually and pick up tasks quickly. The position really requires an individual who is able to absorb minimal instruction and guideline and use this information to manage projects accordingly.
Knowledge of the products, and industry a plus.
Ability to style product photo shoots and experience within photography.
Flexibility to travel last minute.
Experience in the design and construction of marketing materials, a portfolio of examples will be expected.
Experience in proofing catalogs and images.
Experience in managing and hiring staff.
