Tire Technician (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 14 November 2017
I found out quickly that Kal-Tire does not care much about employees. They care about money and charging customers as much as possible. They do not keep the promise of having a set schedule; they demand you work regardless of the fact individuals have a personal life away from work. Even on days scheduled off, they have little compassion for anyone refusing to work overtime. Everything could have been better if the company did not clearly put financial profits above all else, including employee quality of life. They also failed to uphold life threatening safety requirements. During the start of winter rush employees were unlawfully allowed to work without proper PPE. The increase in workload was all that seemed to matter.
Productive and efficient workplace with friendly staff.
Tire and Lube Technician (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 25 January 2017
Kal-Tire was a very enjoyable company to work for, both shop staff and management were friendly and eager to help with any problems I had. Learned how to properly change over a tire along with balancing, repairing and removing rubber from rims. Only draw back was when the location closed and they were unable to transfer me, thus resulting in my current unemployment.
Sales and Service (Former Employee) – Prince George, BC, Canada – 27 July 2016
I enjoyed my time at Kal-Tire, very motivating and driven company to work for. The company as a whole is very well run across the country and they truly look after each and every one of their Team Members.
Every day is different, the people you meet day in day out is unbelievable and are from all walks of life.
Very dangerous job but all procedures are in place and safety training is put in place each month without fail.
Meeting new people every day
Winter and Summer rush periods are very difficult to manage

Very great company to work for. Great atmosphere and some really nice cars as well. Typical day included changing over and balancing tires, Oil changes, and helping out customers. Co-workers were great and I felt like I accomplished something at the end of the day.
