POSITION:

Technical Sales Representative - Outside Sales

This position is based in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) to cover the territory that includes Eastern Ontario - Northern Ontario.

DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop new sales at the end user level in Woodworking and Metal Fabrication segments through existing distribution.
 Build and maintain relationships with current distribution partners.
 Expand existing distribution base.
 Provide on-site technical and application assistance to customers.
 Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.
 Submit weekly call reports.
 Develop annual customer business plans and sales budgets.
 Support and implement promotions and marketing plans.
 Participation in industry trade shows.
 This position reports to the Managing Director.
 Some overnight travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Technical/Industrial sales background is required (minimum 2 years experience)
 A mature individual with a strong work ethic who is fully committed to investing the time to achieve success.
 Must be a HUNTER and embrace working at the end user level.
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 A confident and motivated self starter able to “open doors” to acquire new business.
 Work independently from a home office with minimal supervision.
 Must reside in the described territory.
 Proficient in PC computer systems (Microsoft Office).
 Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

EDUCATION:

 Minimum high school diploma. Post secondary education is a definite asset.

 Competitive base salary plus commission
