Hotel Manager
Located in Central Okanagan

Mid size hotel in Kelowna requires a Hotel Manager responsible for front desk, meetings, housekeeping and maintenance areas.
Candidate must be an enthusiastic and responsible self starter and have a very strong desire to build team spirit in order to attract and retain great staff. Must exhibit superior time management skills and service standards.

The position requires individual to:
-be responsible for generating revenues to meet or exceed budget expectations while maintaining operational and superior guest service standards.
-continuously review room inventory management to ensure maximization of room revenue.
-coach and train all members of the hotel team on their role in the sales and operational process.
-participate in the PR effort by knowing key accounts, meeting with potential and current clients, and actively "selling" through networking, sales calls and property tours. Excellent knowledge of hotel marketing via the internet and global distribution systems.
-Inspect rooms according to quality standards for cleanliness and preventative maintenance. -develop & maintain programs to ensure that the quality assurance program criteria are met.
-able to perform all line-level positions associated with the operation of the smaller hotel

Candidate must be an effective communicator and have a very strong desire to create and work in a team environment.

Job Requirements: Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a self motivated leader who enjoys creating a fun and profitable environment.

Meet with and solicit feedback from guests on a regular basis to determine their level of satisfaction. Respond to all written guest queries and complaints to ensure resolution and maintain superior customer relations.

Ensure proper selection, training, counselling, and motivation of all team members.

Review all hourly personnel appraisals. Conduct appraisals of salaried team members such as Head housekeeper and Maintenance, plus review all hourly team member disciplinary procedures and documentation with follow through as necessary.

Authorize the direct bill accounts and monitor the administration of Accounts Receivable.

Ensure the security needs of the property and guests are met, including training for all the team members to act according to procedure, in the event of an emergency.
