Jordair Compressors Inc. located in Delta BC, requires a confident self-starter to assume the role of Inventory Controller. Jordair has distributed over 5,000 compressors to a diverse client base that includes the Canadian Military, Department of Fisheries, Fire Departments and various industrial clients in the oil and gas and Petro Chemical industries.

This diverse role is available due to an internal promotion and reports to the Production Manager.

The inventory Controller is a key member of a close knit team and is responsible for the flow of product onto the production floor and maintaining records in our MRP Software. In addition to standard inventory controls such as the organization, labeling, location, determination of re-order status, the successful applicant will take a lead role in the twice annual inventory and regular cycle counts. In addition, they will perform some stocking duties such as “picking orders for production requirements and maintaining records of product used for special projects. The position will also require the building of sub-assemblies as per drawings and/ or electrical schematics and may require some drilling and tapping, working with high pressure air and test equipment.

Key work relationships will include the shipper receiver, purchaser and production personnel.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years in a similar capacity, where he/she demonstrated the ability to work independently, and as a member of a team and exhibited honesty and integrity in all their interactions. In addition to general inventory /warehousing duties, they should have had exposure to and exhibit strong understanding of the following

  • Inventory Management software
  • General computing skills, including MS office
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Order Picking
  • Drilling and Tapping
  • Problem Solving
  • Multitasking
