Planting, hoeing, cultivating, picking, transporting, packing, and grading fruit and vegetables for fresh and commercial market. This job requires excellent hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, ability to multi-task, follow instructions carefully, good memory skills, physical and mental stamina, attuned concentration, endure long periods of bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking, fast arm and hand movement, carrying up to 22.5kg, distinguish grades of produce, fast decision making etc.
Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment, and work well with others. Work environments could be hot, cold/refrigerated, wet/damp, odors, on ladders at heights of 3m. Must have own transportation to main job site daily and will need to travel to other fields/orchards in a 10km radius. Other farm experience could be an asset.
