Poorly ran business.
consultant. (Former Employee), Winnipeg, MBNovember 14, 2013
Pros: nothing.
Cons: no breaks, small office space, short hours
I worked here for 2 years, in my eyes it is a poorly ran business that will not succeed. The employees are not treated well, and the marketing for Jenny Craig is not doing well. Clientele is going down hill, which means less money for Jenny and less in your pocket. Many of the policies and procedures need to be updated. Many of the Clients commented – more... that they felt they were being harassed by the company. This is not a good look Jenny.
Ps. food is WAY too expensive, your better off learning how to portion size and eat healthy than buy their food. – less

Customer services/ Client Co-coordinator (Former Employee), 2625C Weston RDMarch 21, 2013
Pros: free consultations and employee discount
Cons: sometime long hours.
Very nice and relaxing place to work. No rush and no push. We can work at our own phase. All the stuff are very friendly. The best part about this work is that we get to wear professional dress and the employee discount, plus free consultation. There is nothing hard about this job, except sometime we have angry husbands calling and yelling at us over – more... the phone.. – less

Fun and engaging workplace
Customer Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Surrey, BCApril 30, 2012
Pros: free food
Cons: low wage and no room to grow within the company
Ive learned a lot from being in this position from multitasking skills to phone sales to filing, answering phones, and paperwork. The only hardest part of the job was spending a hour or two lifting over 50 pounds in food boxes and stocking the freezer and doing this all by myself. The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with the clients and – more... seeing there gradual success in weight loss, and seeing the constant health benefits. – less

Weight Loss Consultant (Former Employee), Columbia SCNovember 8, 2014
Help people lose weight and get over what caused them to gain weight, management is horrible have no idea what really goes on in the center. Pay is horrible for what they expect you to do.

Center Director (Former Employee), TexasNovember 1, 2014
Pros: clients, experience
Cons: management, terrible pay
Management and sales tactics are completely out of touch with the clients and employees. Within the center, it can be a fun and positive work environment. However, if you are a guy, be wary of who's toes you step on. There aren't very many guys working for this company. The pay is utterly horrendous. But the experience in customer service and retail, – more... and the rewards in dealing with the amazing clients are wonderful – less

Pros: seeing the great results of the clients
Cons: weird break schedule
opening the center getting everything ready before our work day starts, listening to any messages or emails if anyone has left any. i learned the value and impact we have on people once you give the the guidelines and help that they need. all walks of life and background but all good people that care to help others that need it. working weekends is – more... the toughest at times since everyone is required to work weekends. the part i enjoy the most is seeing the clients success and how happy they are with us how far we have gone to help them in their weight lost journey. – less

Weight Loss Coah (Current Employee), Sydney, FLOctober 21, 2014
Typical day is consulting your clients by asking open ended questioning skills, and listening skills, finding out about the clients past week on the program, success and challenges, motivate and provide support for any habits and behaviours to achieve weight loss goals, I have learnt a great deal from my time at Jenny Craig, personal and professional, – more... gaining knowledge and skills. Hardest part would be that it is counselling clients and can be mental draining, the best part is watching clients change their lives by achieving their weight loss goal and lifestyles and being there on the journey with them. – less

Pros: management experience
Cons: unethical behaviors within company
Learned how to move in a fast-paced environment where things always change, had to take on a management role for almost a year because we had no center director. Offered a management position. Job culture has been lost with the buyout.

Pros: 50% off the food

meet with clients and support them with their weight loss program . average day I would meet with 10 to 20 clients.

management oversees store operations, set goals and quotas per month
